“PICKIN’ FOR THE POLK”

Mark your calendars and get ready to listen to one of the best bluegrass bands in the nation.   THE STEELDRIVERS, the three time Grammy nominated band, are a comin’ to town , May 12th  and will be playing at Puckett’s on the square in historic downtown Columbia.

Their soulful and gritty vocals and music will be rocking Puckett’s with a vengeance. Their new CD, “Hammerdown”, which debuted in February, is pushing THE STEELDRIVERS to the forefront of bluegrass music.  British singing sensation Adele says “ They’re a blues, country, bluegrass, swagger band and they are brilliant”.  Now who is gonna argue with Adele?

All proceeds from this fundraiser benefit the James K. Polk Home, the only surviving residence of our 11th President, other than the White House.  Seating is limited, so we encourage you to purchase tickets in advance at www.jameskpolk.com or by calling 931-388-2354. Purchased tickets can be picked up at James K. Polk Home, mailed if greater than 7 days in advance of show, or will be available at Puckett’s day of show at 1pm.  Remaining tickets may be purchased at venue day of performance. Tickets are $50 per person. General seating with tables of 8 -10.  Concert starts promptly at 4pm.  Food and libations will be available at Puckett’s.
