This museum hosts a series of original and traveling exhibits that relate to the U.S. Presidency and American culture during James K. Polk’s lifetime.
Preview Reception for "West to Prosperity: The Polk Home at 200"
A special preview of the Polk Home's bicentennial exhibit will be held at Polk Presidential Hall from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with appetizers and drinks served on the grounds. The admission price will be $25 per person.
The James K. Polk Memorial Association's biennial fundraising ball will be held on the grounds of Haynes Haven in Spring Hill, TN. In addition to the dinner and dance, the event will include a house tour and a silent auction.

Upcoming Exhibit to Commemorate Polk Home Bicentennial
2016 marks the 200th anniversary of the James K. Polk Home’s construction. In recognition of the occasion, Polk Presidential Hall will host the original exhibition “West to Prosperity: The Polk Home at 200.” Scheduled for May 27 through December 31, the exhibit will show how the Polks and other frontier families transformed Tennessee wilderness and canebrakes into a thriving region of farms and small towns.
